Overview
This project was more complex than any other project I’ve led. Settings are a reflection of an application, and the redesign required extensive knowledge of the platform’s 20+ year history. With over 300+ settings in scope, I relied heavily on my product partners who have worked on the platform for over ten years. I addressed the design with a step-by-step approach shown in the diagram below.
Redesign goals
Increase engagement
Simplify the experience

Defining each setting
The first step was to learn about each setting and how it impacted users. In this stage, I addressed confusing language and added secondary text when applicable.
